Polished Pony – A big ponytail will make a big statement on prom night. This look is all about volume and shine! It’s important to prep the hair with volumizing spray and shine serum before you get started. Tease the hair near the crown of you hair, before gathering the hair into a ponytail and securing with an elastic. Wrap a small piece of hair around the base to cover it. Paired with the right dress and jewelry, a ponytail can be your best prom accessory!

Braided Updo – The braid trend isn’t going away anytime soon! There are lots of different ways you could rock the braid at prom this year, but our favorite is when the hair is worn in a long, loose braid over one shoulder. The secret to this look is prepping the hair with plenty of gel or texturizing spray so the braid holds in place. Brush your hair to one side and start braiding near the nape of your neck. As you braid, you can also weave a ribbon into the braid, or accent it with flowers or rhinestones, for a funky twist. When you’re done, gently pull on the braid to make it loose, along with a few strands of hair to frame your face.

Vintage Waves – Who says you have to wear your hair up on prom night? Vintage finger waves are super trendy right now, which means it’s perfect for this year’s prom! To get this look, create a deep side-part before you begin to blow dry. Next, start curling the hair towards the face, all in one direction. Gently brush out the curls to transform them into loose waves and finish with a smoothing serum and hairspray. Match your vintage waves with bright red lips to make this old Hollywood glam look complete.
