Welcome to the newest and most modern Salon Success Academy campus! The West Covina campus is located in the west end of Plaza West Covina. You can find us on the first floor of the mall, across from Champs, and just a few doors down from Amapola Market. Having a school in West Covina allows us to serve the San Gabriel Valley communities. We are excited to expand into Los Angeles County, where there are so many exciting things happening in the beauty industry!

You can find our West Covina campus inside Plaza West Covina. Take either the Vincent Avenue or Sunset Avenue exit of the 10 Freeway in West Covina to find the mall. We’re on the west end of the mall on the lower floor near Gold’s Gym. We are located within walking distance of City Hall and the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse.

Our facilities measure 5,763 square feet, which includes the salon floor, a clinic skin care service room, a dispensary, and three classrooms. There are also administrative offices, a student break room, and restrooms. At West Covina, we are proud to offer programs in Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Technology, and continuing education courses in Make-Up Designory.

We are an accredited institution offering programs that can help students develop their skills and creativity, so they can achieve their career goals in the future. Each course is taught by one of our instructors. Our team of educators truly desires to help each student do their best in their chosen program. Students learn through a combination of classroom time and practicing what they’ve learned in our student clinics. The clinics are open to members of the community, and students perform a variety of salon and spa services under the direct supervision of one of our licensed professionals. We designed our school to look and feel like a professional beauty salon, and our student salon and spa have all the tools, equipment, and product lines that a professional salon would have.

How do I know which program to enroll in?

Choosing a beauty school program is a big decision! You want to find the right fit for your interests and your future goals. For example, if you really want to change your career quickly, you might decide the Nail Technology program is best because it is one of our shortest programs. If you don’t know which aspect of the beauty industry you prefer, you may want to choose our Cosmetology program because it covers a wide array of skills that you could use in a variety of careers. If skincare is your passion, take a closer look at our Esthetician program. Still unsure? The pictures of the student clinics look fabulous! Do students really work there?

Yes! Students perform professional salon and spa services to real clients in our student clinics. The only major difference between our student clinics and a professional salon is that the students are always under the direct supervision of a licensed professional who may guide the student through the services and offer advice when needed. We also love how professional and modern our student clinics look and feel!

Why is Make-Up Designory a continuing education course?

Unlike our other programs, Make-Up Designory does not have any school credits attached to it. It is a course that is only available to professionals who have their Cosmetology or Esthetician license. If you meet these requirements, you can enroll in the Make-Up Designory course as a way to build your make-up skills.

How can I get a tour of the West Covina campus?

All you have to do is contact our Admission Team. We’ll schedule your tour of the West Covina campus. At the time of the tour, you will see the classrooms and student clinics, visit with instructors and students, and participate in an admissions interview. The interview is designed to teach you all the ins and outs of enrollment at Salon Success Academy. We will also ask you questions about your interests, your educational goals, and other things that can help us serve you better.
