Our school’s location is just minutes away from Downtown Riverside. Situated directly off of the 91 Freeway, our Riverside campus is easy to commute to and from. We are on the second floor of the Indiana Business Center.

Riverside, California is a unique city known for its citrus industry. With plenty of museums, parks, restaurants, and shops, it also has a vibrant cultural life. Salon Success Academy’s Riverside campus sits in the heart of this ideal location, providing students with an education in cosmetology, barbering, or nail technology. Our school facilities are 6,690 square feet on the second floor of a complex. The campus includes classrooms, a student break room, a clinic classroom/salon floor and dispensary, a study/computer room, offices, and restrooms.

Who comes to the student clinics?

Our student clinics are open to anyone from the community. We strive to give our clients a professional salon or barbershop experience, and students are an integral part of this process. Students have the opportunity to work on clients of all ages and genders, giving haircuts, grooming facial hair, styling, and coloring hair, giving manicures and pedicures, and more! One or more of our experienced, licensed professionals will be nearby, supervising your work and ready to help when needed.

Is the barbering program different from the cosmetology program?

Yes, the barbering program is focused mainly on men’s hair care, including cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming. The cosmetology program covers a wider base of beauty skills. Moreover, barber students form their own unique community with a special culture that is all their own!

Can I study skincare and learn how to give facials at Riverside?

Our cosmetology program does cover some aspects of skincare, including the application of facials. However, if you want to specialize in skin care, we recommend our Esthetician program, which is offered at our campuses in Corona, Redlands, Uplands, and West Covina.

Can I schedule a service at your student salon/barbershop?

How do I get a tour of the Riverside campus?

Give our admissions team a call, and we’ll book a tour at the Riverside campus! The school tour includes a tour of the classrooms and the clinic area. You will have an opportunity to meet with students and instructors. We will also schedule an admissions interview. This interview is a way to answer your questions and help you decide if Salon Success Academy is where you belong. We can also help you through the enrollment process.
