Salon Success Academy Responds to the Coronavirus

Ever since our doors opened 60 years ago, Salon Success Academy has been a people helping company. We put people first. That’s why for the safety of our students, our instructors, and our staff, as of March 18th, we have temporarily closed our doors in response to the coronavirus. This pandemic has already killed thousands, causing loss and devastation to the world and its economy. It’s now on our shores and in our communities and although we stayed open for as long as we could, all of our campuses will now remain closed until at least April 30^th.  We will reopen as soon as it is recommended by authorities and safe to do so. You Can Still Learn Online

There is some good news in all of this! Because we don’t want you to miss your opportunity to learn, we will now offer some of your courses online. Taught by the very same instructors our students already know and love, these lessons will keep you and your skills sharp and ready to return to hands-on learning when our campuses reopen.

Health and Safety in Cosmetology

At Salon Success, we’ve always taken a serious commitment to the health and safety of our students and salon customers. We adhere to strict standards of cleanliness and sanitation and teach our students to do the same. As part of their training, they learn the critical importance of salon sanitation and how to properly clean and disinfectant surfaces, tools, and equipment. We prepare students for their state licensing exam which includes extensive lessons in health and safety as outlined by the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology’s code of regulations. We’re proud that we take this section of our curriculum seriously. It’s something we’ve always done; something we will continue to do.

What Happens Next?

Although we don’t know exactly what’s next, we can assure you that when we reopen, it will be back to business as usual. If you’re a current student, you can learn online or choose to be placed on automatic leave. When we start classes again, you can pick up right where you left off. If you’ve been waiting for a campus tour, we’ll be ready to show you around. And if you’re ready to apply now, our admissions team can still meet with you virtually, answer all your questions, and accept your application.
