Advanced Aesthetics Studies with a Visionary Leader

Are you passionate about making others feel beautiful? Do you love to help people look and feel their best on the inside and out? Then Salon Success Academy’s brand-new Advanced Aesthetics Studies opportunity entitled A Look Beyond the Skin’s Surface is for you. Developed by Dr. Kathy M. Anderson, the video series will provide you with advanced knowledge of health, beauty, and skincare in the medspa environment that could help your career in the beauty industry.

Dr. Anderson’s Credentials

Dr. Anderson is a board-certified OB/GYN physician with nearly 25 years of experience in medicine. She’s also certified from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine with a fellowship in Stem Cell therapies, and she is an expert in aesthetic procedures, such as Botox, Fillers, and multiple lasers. Most importantly for Salon Success Academy, she’s passionate about introducing our students to the benefits of this video series.

“I don’t think there’s another opportunity like this in California,” says Anderson. “Students are going to learn to look at beauty in a different way.”

A Look Beyond the Skin’s Surface is currently tuition-free for all students who are on track to complete or have completed the Cosmetology or Esthetician programs since May 2020. The video series will be 20-hours of instruction on everything from noninvasive medical procedures to the impact nutrition has on health and anti-aging.

“Many physicians include beauty concepts and regenerative medicine as part of their practices today, but it requires a lot of patient education,” says Anderson. “That’s where graduates with this knowledge base come in. They can be an important asset to a practice, and working as a consultant in the medical field can be quite lucrative.”

Understanding the broad implications of exercise, nutrition, and supplements on the aging process is valuable to anyone. But when paired with processes like body sculpting, laser, Botox, and intense pulsed light treatments, it truly is a game-changer. And your knowledge of how they all interact to make clients look and feel younger and can change the trajectory of your career.

“Knowing this information will make you more marketable as a beauty professional,” says Anderson.

Components

Dr. Anderson notes that while the Advanced Aesthetics Studies video series is still being developed, she is already having positive interactions with the students. The first session, conducted through Zoom with demonstrations, questions, and answers, had more than 100 attendees.

“I continually update the materials,” says Dr. Anderson. “I create all my own slides and presentations. Since the industry is always changing, we need to change to keep up.”
