If you have a passion for beauty and you dream of making a career in the beauty world, Salon Success Academy could be an excellent school for you to get started on your journey. We have over 60 years of experience as a beauty school, and we are family-owned and operated.

Over time, our school has expanded to include six campuses in California. We offer a number of different beauty programs, including cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, and nail technology, and our instructors are talented and caring individuals who strive to help each student succeed in their beauty education. With flexible scheduling available for most of our courses, you should be able to find a way to make beauty school fit your lifestyle.

Easy Steps to Apply for Enrollment at Salon Success Academy

Ready to start the enrollment process? Follow these steps to get you on the road toward a great beauty school education!

1. Contact our team

Fill out the form below or call one of our locations to get the application process started. Once you let us know you’re interested in going to beauty school, a member of our team will reach out through email, phone call, or text as soon as we can to give you the information you need to enroll. We will mail you a brochure guide with everything you need to know about our programs. We will also schedule a tour so you can see the school for yourself.

2. Begin applying for financial aid

While you’re waiting for your tour date, take time to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). This is imperative and must be completed before you can enroll. We recommend starting to fill this out at least 3-5 days before your tour. This gives us time to receive your application and find out what additional information we need from you. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. If you need help or have questions about filling out this application, our financial aid team is always ready to help.

3. Tour the school

The tour is the best time to get your questions answered, and to see if Salon Success Academy is right for you! Interact with our talented instructors, see our classrooms and student salon, and experience what student life is like. We also want you to meet one or more of our student ambassadors! Student ambassadors are always happy to chat about their experiences at Salon Success Academy and answer questions about attending our school.

We want to see each of our students succeed, which is why we set up an admissions interview during the tour. We’ll ask you questions like what you’re interested in learning, what may stop you from succeeding at school, and any other helpful information we may need to know to help you graduate.

4. Complete your paperwork

Once you’ve picked one of our six beauty school locations in California, we’ll walk you through the rest of the paperwork and make sure you’re ready to get started! You can expect to fill out an enrollment agreement that walks you through class schedules, expected graduation date, and payment agreements. We want each and every student to know what to expect from their time at beauty school and how Salon Success Academy can support you.

All paperwork needs to be submitted and completed at least 7 days before the start day you plan to enroll. If you miss this deadline, don’t worry! Classes often start each month, which means you don’t have to wait long for your next beauty school opportunity.

Admissions Requirements

To attend a beauty school at Salon Success Academy, students need to:

Be at least 17 years old
U.S. completion of 12th grade (diploma or transcripts), GED, or pass results for the HiSET or TASC exam

If you are a foreign graduate, foreign transcripts/diplomas must be translated and verified of their equivalency to a U.S. high school diploma. Students can log into https://ssa.credentialevaluationservice.com/ or use another qualified agency of their own selection.

You’ll need to provide a valid social security number and proof of age through a valid ID, such as:

Driver’s license
State ID
US Military ID
Passport or Passport Card
Permanent Resident Card
US Immigration and Naturalization issued ID
Official U.S. birth certificate

Tips for a Successful School Tour

We want you to find the right beauty school for you. When you are touring one of our schools, be prepared:

Bring a list of questions you can ask.
Tour more than one location. (We have six locations!)
Take good notes, so you can compare the pros and cons of the schools you are considering.
Bring a parent or guardian along, especially if you’re marked as a dependent on your FAFSA® profile.

What beauty programs does Salon Success Academy offer?

We proudly offer programs in Cosmetology, Esthetics, Barbering, Nail Tech, and continuing education courses in Make-Up Designory.

How long does it take to complete a beauty school education?

The length of time you spend on your education may vary depending on the program you choose and whether you enroll as a full-time student or a part-time student. See the individual programs for specific details about how many hours are required and how long that may take you.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. As an accredited school, Salon Success Academy is able to offer financial aid to students who qualify. To begin the process, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). If you have any questions during the financial aid process, do not hesitate to contact us!
