5 Top Wedding and Prom Updos for 2015
Wedding and prom season is just around the corner. Whichever formal event you’ll attend this year, do it in style. An updo shows off your gorgeous gown and keeps you carefree all night long. A low updo pulled back at the nape of the neck, called a chignon, is in this season. Here are the 5 top wedding and prom updos for 2015:
1. With Braids
Braids, especially loose ones, are still in. An updo with a braided section pairs perfectly with a rustic wedding or bohemian chic prom dress. To complement this look, add some flowers such as a daisies or baby’s breath. If you want a more formal look tighten the braids a bit, and you’ll be all set.
2. Sleek Low Bun
A low bun that’s neatly pulled back gives an elegant look. Especially if your gown has lots of beading or lace, the simplicity of a bun won’t take away from your highly detailed dress. A bun is timeless, so you simply can’t go wrong.
3. Messy Side Bun
For a twist on the traditional bun, consider one that’s undone and slightly to the side. This loose, to-the-side option can highlight your earrings or show off a beaded hair accessory. It’s also a quick and easy option if you’re short on time.

4. Loosely Pinned Curls
Loose waves are in for both casual and formal occasions. They’re perfect for the summertime and can easily be dressed up. More tightly pinned back curls give a more formal flair.
5. Curled Side Pony
The side pony is making a comeback. A low, curly ponytail that’s pulled to the side goes well with a one shoulder or strapless gown. A dressy ponytail works best for medium to long to hair.
